Wedded Bliss

I know that I have been absolutely HORRIBLE at this! But it was so hard with church callings and a boyfriend taking all my time...and then a wedding to plan for! Now that all that wedding stuff is done, I'm hoping that I will have some more time to keep this updated. I know you all are thrilled at that! :)

My wedding was on March 7th. Broc and I were sealed in the Redlands temple. The Lord truly had a hand in our sealing. I was waiting on a letter from the First Presidency before I could set a sealing date. I had complete faith that I would get that letter before March 7th. I had many answers to my prayers and fasting. Well, obviously, the letter came in about 2 weeks when normally it could take 60-90 days to get a response. The Lord has been so kind to me!

Overall, my wedding day was everything that I dreamed of, right down to my dress that I designed and had made along with my veil. The reception was a bit chilly, but it was beautiful with white lights flickering in the trees and candlelight twinkling on the tables and around my cake. Everyone was so helpful at putting everything together! I'm very appreciative to so many people. I loved having my whole family here in California for the wonderful day! :) And also my dear friends who traveled far to be there in the temple with me.

After our wedding we whisked ourselves away to Tahoe where we spent a week in the amazingly gorgeous mountains. It was probably the most relaxing week I have had in a very long time. I really think that honeymoons are to just get away from all the stress that the bride and groom have gone through for months. It was extremely sad to have to get back to life, but I'm glad I was able to have my best friend and my true love by my side.

So, I will be posting some wedding pics soon...there are just a whole butt-load of them and it's taking me forever to do it! Stupid computers!

October Fun!

I know I have been HORRIBLE at keeping up on the whole blog thing. With my time being taken by Relief Society, an AMAZING boyfriend, and work...I just lose track of time! But there are absolutely no excuses for my lack of keeping the peeps updated on the happenings here in Hemet. So...I will just give you the run down of the best October I've had to date.

My 27th birthday was on the 7th and as I was dreading the day because I was so unbelievably sick and I'm just not fond of the b-day, it was actually a very very SWEET birthday. My aunt made me a yummy breakfast then I got ready for the day. As I was waiting for AMAZING Boyfriend to come pick me up there was a little ding at the door...and what could it be?! Some absolutely beautiful fresh cut flowers!!! Notice how they are not roses...AMAZING Boyfriend listens!
Then he paid attention and listened, again!, and put together a cute gift basket with my favorite shampoo and conditioner, which I was completely out of, and expensive makeup! And there was some yummy chocolate and peanut butter as well! He really is wonderful!
I had a pretty awesome birthday and plus all the love I got from my family and friends just made the day perfect!

A few weeks later I was able to see my 101 year old great-grandpa. Now I show you this picture only so you can see what a man that age looks like...it's a VERY bad picture of me. Oh, and yes, that is AMAZING Boyfriend in the pic with me. It was pretty funny...we were eating lunch and Grandpa asked AMAZING Boyfriend and me when we were getting married about 4 times. Yeah, he's getting a little old and not remembering things! It was a bit embarrassing.
Then there was this entertaining 8 Stake Halloween party that I went to. I was a Black Widow, again, and had spiders in my hair. It was pretty fun. These are my oh-so-amazing-counselors! To finish off the entire month I actually took all last week off and spent it at the "Damn Happiest Place On Earth!" I went with AMAZING Boyfriend and his family for three days and had a total blast! That is so the way to do Disneyland. We even had 10 people in one hotel room with one bathroom. Thank goodness AMAZING Boyfriend only has one sister and his mom or else having one bathroom could have been very tricky! Feast your eyes on the fun!

I show you the above picture, not because I want everyone to see my big ole' back side but because I was SOPPING wet after riding Raging Rapids.
We were sooooo tired!!! This was after our last day...and I'm still smiling!
Overall, October has been wonderful! I apologize for not keeping things updated! I will try hard to be better. :)

Slacker!

I know my blog has been a complete failure to all my faithful readers for the last month. I don't know what my problem has been. I guess I guess I just haven't felt like writing a whole lot or there's just not been a whole lot to write about.

But the most recent exciting news is that Jared is HOME! I can't believe that it has been two years, but he is finally home! The minute I saw him come down the escalator I started to cry. I was the first one to run to him and give him a huge hug. It was wonderful to spend time with him for a few days. Now he's in Salt Lake and I'm back in Hemet. :( But at least he's home. :)

I'm so unbelievably proud of Jared for being willing to serve the Lord for two years. He said that he had some of his best experiences and worst experiences there. I'm so impressed with his Spanish! He sounds like he's been speaking it his whole life. He really has grown into a man spiritually.

On the home front, things have picked up a bit for me. Not in the dating world, but in the Church calling world. I was just called to be the Relief Society President in my ward. I have known for a few weeks and was just sustained yesterday. I am very overwhelmed, but looking forward to helping each sister and really getting to know them. I'm excited for my presidency and I think we will get along great. I know that the Lord truly inspired me to chose the girls that I did or else I would be even more stressed out than I already am. :) It's strange, but no other time in my life have I felt that I truly am supposed to be in a calling. It's a very reassuring feeling and I'm so grateful to have that knowledge or a calling like this might be just way too great to handle. :)

So, that's the most recent happenings here. Like I said, nothing too exciting. :) I will try my hardest to keep everyone updated on the happenings with me.

Murphy's Law...Of Course

The other day my aunt was making dinner and realized that she used up all the salsa for the meal and didn't save any to have with the meal. To be helpful I offered to run to the store to grab some. The store was close by and I figured I'd just be in and out. I grabbed my purse, slipped on flip-flops and headed out the door...but...I was committing Cardinal Sin of Being a Single Woman #485: NEVER go to the store in pajamas/sweats because you WILL ALWAYS see someone you know.

Yes...I went against my better judgement.

Right before I even left the house I thought, "Oh...I won't bother changing...I never see anyone at Stater Brothers anyway. Plus, I don't know many people in this town...it's all good." I was truly a picture of complete beauty. The hair was pulled back in a messy ponytail, makeup worn off and smeared from a long stressful day at work, sweat shorts that were way too big, a huge t-shirt, but not just any huge t-shirt...it was a Patriots Superbowl t-shirt from back in the day. But! I was wearing a bra, thank you very much, so I guess it was somewhat better...maybe. I was lookin' freakin' hot, let me tell you.

I pulled up in the parking, hopped out of my car, and briskly headed into the store and WA-LA! Before I even get inside I see a lady I know from church and her husband. She says hi, smiles, gives a little laugh, and says, "Making a quick trip and not think you would see anyone you know?"

With her being spot-on, I know I was lookin' freakin' hot!

My Own Little FHE

Last night, after a long hot day at work, I pulled up to my house, parked my car, came inside the nice stifling hot house, kicked of my shoes, and as I was about to change out of my scrubs I thought, "OH CRAP! I forgot to lock the front door at work!" I went over my every move at work and I remembered locking the front gate, but couldn't remember for the life of me if I had locked the front door. Maybe it was because I had to pee like a racehorse and so I was running around turning off lights and what not and trying to make it to the bathroom before I puddled on the ground. I don't know. But I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't make for darn sure that front door was locked. So, I changed out of my scrubs, put on amazingly cool- as in weather - shorts, a t-shirt, flip-flops, and made the 30 minute drive back to work. Was the gas worth it? Did I make that hour round-trip drive for nothing? And the answer is....Yes!!! That stupid front door was locked.

But the trip ended up being totally worth it because I got the most amazing idea on the way home. Since I had already missed FHE I thought, "What can I do with my evening that will be totally random and fun?" Answer: Kindly let your eyes peruse the following pictures that so beautifully illustrate my brilliant idea!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with this phenomenon it is called rag-rolling. In this case: sock-rolling.

It makes your luscious, blond, completely straight locks go from this:

To this:

Totally frightening, I know!

So, no, I did not go to work looking completely HORRID! I rewashed my hair and went into work with beautifully soft board straight locks. So much for a brilliant idea!

Cocka-What?

Right now there are the 4 most adorable, lovable, cuddly furballs in the bathtub. And here they are!

They are cockapoopoos and go for 500 buckarooroos. If I had that kind of cash lying around, you could guarantee me that they would stay that size, that they wouldn't poop and pee in unauthorized areas, and if I had that kind of cash lying around, oh, and biggie number one, if I actually liked the yucky smell of animals, then I would get one in a heartbeat!
